In 2008, I relocated to the Virginia/Maryland region right after completing college. To my delight, I stumbled upon a thriving urban and bay fishing scene in the area. Initially, I spent a few months fishing from the shores, but it didn’t take long for me to take the plunge and invest in a kayak. The moment I did, I was captivated by the newfound access it provided and the opportunity to explore new waters.
Before I knew it, I found myself acquiring my first Hobie kayak, a Hobie Revolution, which opened up the doors to longer journeys and even led me to embark on a few mothership fishing trips. While I predominantly focus on fishing in the mid-Atlantic region, targeting species like striped bass, white perch, speckled trout, tautog, and red drum, I also relish the occasional extended adventures.
