As an experienced angler with an unwavering passion for fishing, I’ve been hooked on the sport since the moment I could hold a rod and reel in my hand. My roots in east Texas provided the perfect backdrop for countless hours of fishing adventures in the freshwater haven of Lake Palestine, often alongside my brother, Wayne Lobb.
Around 15 years ago, my fishing journey took an exhilarating turn when I delved into the world of kayak fishing. Eager to explore this exciting avenue, I invested in a Hobie Revolution and embarked on a thrilling adventure. Over the years, I’ve owned and fished out of a variety of Hobie kayaks, including the Hobie Pro Angler 12, Hobie i11, Hobie Compass, pre-2019 Outback, and my current vessel, the Hobie Outback.
My desire for community and camaraderie in the kayak fishing world led me to join both the Lafayette Kayak Fishing Club (LKFC) and the Bayou Coast Kayak Fishing Club (BCKFC). Through these affiliations, I discovered a vibrant community of like-minded anglers who share my passion. I’ve actively participated in Inshore Fishing Association tournaments, showcasing my skills in both saltwater and freshwater events. I’ve also competed in Hobie’s Bass Open Series and occasionally ventured into Bass Master competitions.
