At 58 years old, I’ve been passionate about fishing since I was around 6 or 7 years old. My journey into the world of competitive angling began in 1977 when, at the age of 13, I participated in my very first organized bass tournament.
In 2001, I transitioned into a career in federal law enforcement, where I dedicated myself until my retirement in early 2023. However, my love for fishing remained undiminished, and in late 2014, I embraced kayak fishing, participating in numerous tournaments throughout the Carolinas and the southeastern United States.
Over the past nine years, I’ve achieved notable success in kayak tournaments, securing victories and consistently placing high. While my primary focus is on bass fishing, I derive enjoyment from all forms of angling, be it freshwater or saltwater.
